    • Is threatening imminent harm to self (e.g., acting on a suicide threat)

    • Is threatening imminent harm to others (e.g., homicidal or threatening behavior)

    • Is severely disoriented or out of touch with reality (e.g., severely impaired by alcohol or other drugs)

    • Has a severe inability to function (e.g., inability to care for themselves)

    • Is distraught and out of control (e.g., exhibiting highly erratic, unusual or unpredictable behavior)
